Frequently Asked Questions

We know finding specialized care for your child can bring up a lot of questions. We have listed some commonly asked questions parents ask us. If you have a question not listed here, please get in touch and we’d be happy to help!

What exactly happens during a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)?

An FBA involves observing your child across settings, interviewing caregivers and teachers, and analyzing data to identify the triggers and functions of challenging behaviors. This “why” behind the behavior guides us in creating targeted, effective replacement behaviors to serve the same functions.

To become a client, we require a referral from a doctor. If you have that referral, give us a call or use the form on our website to submit your Client Intake Form. We’ll review your application and getyou started if we feel you are a good fit for ABA Therapy with us.

A BIP translates FBA findings into clear goals, teaching strategies, and reinforcement systems that replace unwanted behaviors with positive alternatives. It’s a roadmap everyone—parents, teachers, therapists—follows to ensure consistency and measurable progress.

We deliver interventions in the home, school, and community so skills generalize naturally—whether that’s learning safe crossing at a bus stop or using new communication tools during mealtimes. Embedding therapy into real life accelerates independence and confidence.

You’re a co-therapist: through hands-on coaching and workshops, we teach you ABA fundamentals—like prompting techniques and data tracking—so you can turn daily routines into learning opportunities and reinforce progress between sessions.

Our sibling programs include peer groups and guided activities that help brothers and sisters understand, communicate, and play positively with their sibling, reducing stress and fostering stronger family bonds.

We provide in-classroom support and specialized teacher training—coaching staff on environmental adjustments, data collection, and positive behavior strategies—so ABA techniques are woven into academic routines for seamless support.

While every child is unique, many families notice small wins—like fewer tantrums or new communication—in as little as 4–6 weeks. We track progress continuously and adjust strategies to keep momentum going.

We use data collected during one-on-one sessions and natural environment observations to chart your child’s growth against specific goals, then share clear reports and celebrate milestones with you at regular intervals.
